Founded in 1925 by Ini Kopuria, a Policeman from Maravovo, Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands. The Melanesian Brotherhood is a religious community of men rooted in the spiritual traditions of Melanesia. Our mission is to strengthen the faith of individuals and communities through the teachings of Jesus Christ, emphasizing love, compassion, and service to those in need. One of the core functions of the Melanesian Brotherhood is evangelism. Initially focused on reaching the unreached, we now dedicate our efforts to reconnecting with backsliders and those who have fallen away from their faith. We encourage them to rediscover the hope and joy found in a relationship with Christ, fostering spiritual renewal and a deeper commitment to their faith. As a community of brothers, we are united by our commitment to living out the Gospel in our daily lives. We aim to nurture spiritual growth, foster unity among diverse cultures, and address the social challenges facing our communities throughout Melanesia and beyond. Our programs and initiatives focus on evangelism and environmental stewardship, all driven by a shared vision of justice, peace, and dignity for all. Join us as we embark on a journey of faith, exploring the beauty of our differences and the strength of our unity. We invite you to discover how you can be a part of our mission, support our work, and experience the transformative power of God's love in action. Together, we are the Melanesian Brotherhood, dedicated to serving, uplifting, and healing our communities for the glory of God.
